Singing the Monday Blues

Unmotivated.

Depressed.

Frustrated.

Crap.

In case you can't tell, I'm feeling a little blue this morning.

The last thing I wanted was for this weekend to end. I planted a bunch of trees on our street, saw Alice in Wonderland in 3d, got some new jewelry-making supplies. But as the weekend was winding down, I realized I'd lost my wallet, I didn't make any jewelry I was happy with, I didn't do any editing work on Strings, and my husband was going to have to start work Monday morning at a job he's going to hate.

How did things change so much between Friday and Monday? Friday held so much promise, but this morning I feel as gloomy as the cold, foggy weather outside.

Help me look on the bright side this morning--someone did call me saying they'd found my wallet. But it's still Monday. I'm going to go get a chai latte and take some deep breaths. If I stay busy, maybe today will go quickly.

How do you fight the blahs?

When I'm feeling blah, I send whiny emails to my friends. Maybe you should try that. ;)

Hope you're feeling better soon. *hugs*

Aw...I'm sorry. I usually fight the blahs with a little retail therapy. Nothing expensive, necessarily. Even just a paperback book that looks good, or some new notecards. And when all else fails, copious amounts of chocolate. :)

I think the blahs are going around today. I've got them, and so do a lot of other bloggers. I guess we just fight through them and know that they'll go away eventually. Here's to a happier Monday!

Ah, sorry you're feeling bad. I recommend bubble baths or chocolate. Or just counting your blessings. Hope you feel better!

I think you're already on your way to fighting the blahs; you're getting a chai latte! Food therapy is where I go. That and a little whining to my friends. They always help to cheer me up.

It's Monday, which is always a bit of a downer (I didn't want the weekend to be over already either!). I hope you feel better!

How rare that someone would call you on your wallet. Think of the blessing hidden in that.

At least spring is here, that's something!

hope you feel more like yourself soon :)

A tasty, hot beverage and lots of chocolate! Followed by visiting my bloggy friends until I feel better. :-)

I'm so in the middle of this lately. I don't have any answer for fighting to blahs. I just tell myself that they can't last forever. Wishin' yours dissipate soon.

Wow, thanks, y'all, I do already feel better!

And everyone I've talked to today has told me I'm lucky that the person who found my wallet called me, so I'm starting to feel pretty lucky, too. Guess if you hear something enough, you start to believe it.

I'm going to go get myself a cup of cocoa and think about the nice bath I'm going to take tonight while I read other people's blogs. ;)

Hope the blahs everyone else is having go away soon!

When I feel blah, I dress up and go out to a bookstore and buy coffee or something. Or I fake it until I make it. I always feel better when I look nice.

Reading too. Read a good book, and it's a good escape. I think everyone hates Mondays!

This lame, but when I'm feeling crap I watch the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice.
My husband came home from work the other day and I was lying on the lounge watching it. The first thing he said was, "Bad day, huh?"

I hope you're feeling better soon.
